I am using makari soap and day cream with great results. I wanted to lighten purplish acne scars and it does that pretty well. I love this products since they are completely natural.
i tried makari lotion for the first time and it was beautiful with no side effects, but when i went for the second bottle i started to notice some patches on my skin. i’m confused, i really liked the way my skin looked after the first bottle. what do i do?

I have been having the same issue too. I used makari and loved my skin after the first bottle and continued. Ever since. I have inflamed skin with red patches on different parts of my body. My husband is a doctor and thinks the problem is with my cream. I liked my skin at first but it looks like I’ll stop the product. I used the beautifying milk and mixed it with glycerine cos it was too dry. I also started using the sulphur soap but stopped when I developed the sensitive skin. I’ll just stop everything before I get worse results.
I am using the lotion and my skin is very smooth and brighter. Initially I used Makari night cream which got rid of the uneven skin tone on my face as my face had patches caused by other skin lightening creams like Meladerm and other ridiculiously priced brand names. If you like a no fuss skin product that delivers this is it. I give it a 99% because my skin gets oily after using it, but no breakouts.
I started using this product this summer and at first it was ok I can say that I lighten me up two shades, but I soon as I stopped using this and within a few week I got darker and darker I’m now darker then before I started. I guess you have to continue to use this stuff and please becareful this will BREAK YOU OUT. I give it a two because it work it just the after mass that scary.

I spent too much money for this product because it did not work. I only wanted to lighten two spots but the
body beautifying milk did not perform at all. I will not order again since there is no way to get your money
back after you use one drop. This is crazy, it takes
thirty days to see any results, by then you’re out of

I have used Makari before. It is a good cosmetic line.But I think when using it, one should avoid sun rays as much as possible. I used the first bottle and it was so so lovely.But as the dry season approached,the sun was so so hot and it sort of burned me some how.Secondly, you have to watch out for your knockles.They get darker.Pay attention.I guess you should wash your hands after using it or rub your knockles well.Thirdly,If you have very sensitive skin,makari may be too strong for you.Its advicable to mix it with a baby lotion.But all in all,it is a good skin product if you want to have fair skin.So I rate it…4 stars.
I will not advise anyone to use this product.It really makes you at least two shades darker than your original colour once you stop. I used it for about 3 months in 2008 just to even out my skin tone before my wedding.The initial outlook was nice,but the moment i stopped,i knew i was in trouble.my skin is still trying to adjust.I’m now on baby lotion. its not worth the money
Makari was indeed good for me when I used the first two bottles. I currently have breakout and dark spots all over my face. I really don’t even know what to do. I tried to chat with one of the online makari representative but she was not helpful, told me to go get their expensive serum to clear the spot. I will makari 1 star. Not a good product
I think makari is a very good product especially if you use it together with a good facial cleanser , srub and facial mask , there will be no breakouts . I use caudalie cleanser and mask together with the makari lightening milk .Alternatively once your complexion is lightened, you can alternate it with a softer lotion like Avon or baby lotion, this gives you a radiant glow and your cream can last alot longer . i started with the makeri glycerine and a cream from avon and my skin was so radiant . i later bought the beautifing milk and my complexion was on top . i began alternating the avon and the beautifying milk with the gycerine and my skin is so nice . I think it’s good
I started using makari two years ago and it has worked really well. The problem I have is that each time I switch to another product, my face starts breaking out and I get really dark! I dont know what to do now.
I feel like once you started using makari, you have to keep going for the rest of your life because everytime I miss a day, my skin gets really dark; just a day. I’m not comfortable with makari anymore, but I’m scare to stop.
I started using Makari last April and my skin was flawless. I think i started with the Caviar cream and i started having problems with my skin, like back heads and acne. I tried the makari acnyl cream but it did not help and then i tried the night whitening cream and now my facial skin especially the t-zone is now very sensitive, tender and itchy. please help anyone, what can i do?
as many have stated it is good in the beginning and then after a while u become darker and experience horrible spots. i recommended it to 3 firneds who also made the same remark. i am still suffereing from dark patches and horrible spots.
I liked it, it had lightened me to around 4 shades. It is an oily product, so I was using a papaya kojic soap with this and facial scrub to help prevent most of the acne from forming since I have acne-prone skin. I have tried the night creme, day creme, and caviar creme during the course of 5 months and they all lightened me the same but I preferred the night creme because it was larger compared to the other 2 are too small in size. If people have an allergic reaction to caviar, best to use something else. The day creme is supposed to be less oily and for acne-prone skin…maybe a gel type should be created to lessen breakouts.
I give a 4 out of 5 stars because although it worked great for me and I would order when there is like a really good sale such as 50-75% off or buy one get one free..(105 off isn’t enough). The prices are too high and not cost-effective for most consumers to maintain and can cause acne breakouts for some.

i used makari for 3months religiously and it did all the work i wanted it to
but as soon as istopped when i got broke it broke out on my skin
horrible spots that got dark and evrymornin would wake up to a new pink spot dat was sometimes painful
overall it is not a product to be used at all
suffice to say once u stopusing it ,makari takes u back to where it started withu . what is d point.

I have not had any of the problems others are talking about. You see too much of every thing is bad. i think the makari line is to be used with care.in that we of color produce a lot of melanin and because of that using amy product that will lighting will force your skin to produce more. However dont abuse it think well when you tone caus “we are not white and will never be so a little tone is ok dont abuse it PEOPLE!!” A nice clare tone of dark skin is very beautyful.Enjoy
My initial encounter with Makari products was two years ago at a beauty shop.I purchased it because it was highly recommended and praised.
All was well in the beginning until one day I decided to relax my hair.By the way that beginning lasted six months.
After the relaxer,I thought my skin was glowing but within two days I was dark as hell! and the cream did’t work at all. I could’t understand how two days before the relaxer I was so fair.
I then went and bought another brand and none was working,instead my skin was dark,my eyes were watery and red patches started to appear on my cheeks.I stopped straight away.
Alot of people have experienced the same if not worse.I believe many people see good results but they only last a short period.

i had a fair skin with some patches from the sun specially around the lips and i had to conceal them with make up. my friend told me about makari and i tried it before my weddig and had good results. when my bottle finished i couldnt afford to buy another one. so i stopped around 1 month…during that time i noticed my skin got really drak, a shade i never had before!! while my body is still fair cuz i didnt use the product for my body…
what shall i do now?
i agree with the other reviews i have been using makari at first my skin was clear and smooth and after the first bottle of beautfying milk i started to break out and have been having huge break out, when i tried to stop i became so dark i dont know what to do

i have used all their products but nothing has changed i used caviar,day and night cream but i ended up with the worst break outs ever. i really had great skin but i wanted just a few lighter shades but instead i got break outs and acne.
i then purchased the serum but i see no change but darker skin. i cant believe that i have wasted so much money only to get get marks and acne on my clearskin.
please be aware Makari is overrated i cant advise anyone to use it.
PEOPLE I used this product in 2009 it worked well for couple months then i broke out and it took a year even more for my spots to go, i felt like a teenage again, spotty it was horrible i used the caviar then i used the beautifying milk please dont use this product , other good products are nur76 and meladerm the only thing is you must continue to use it but thats with any lighteneing product if you start u must continue…..for the spots go to your doctor or gp thats what i did and mt skin cleared up.
The lightening results are really good but not worth ruining ur your skin.

I first started using this product in October 2008, and must say my skin was beautiful, everyone commented on my skin, however, that changed in March 2009, i started to get big round spots on my face and neck. It was very bad and i had to go to the doctors who gave me, over the year 3 different antibiotics, my face has now cleared but my skin is not the same. ll over my face and body the skin is very sensitive like i have (contact dermatitus)and i have red patches on my chest when i come out of the bath. I now have to find something to clear the spot marks.I was told to use a new product called YELEN, it is very expensive though, does any body recommend this??
DO NOT USE MAKARI.I repeat, do not attempt to use Makari. It will undoubtedly DESTROY your skin, give you numerous blackheads and if you stop using it, even for a day, you will get extremely dark. Much darker than when you originally started using it, not to mention the dark patches on either side of your face.
I have tried all their products – Caviar, Day and Night cream, the Beauty milk etc and they are all the same.
Don’t make the mistake I made. It is very expensive and it isn’t worth it.
The best way to stop using Makari without getting darker is to use Bio claire cream and oil once you stop for about 2 weeks(just on your face)- as it causes stretch marks on the body. Do not use it for more than 2 weeks cos it contains steroids which are harmful.
Then switch to something else. I’ve recently switched to Likas Papaya soap and Godiva Cream. It’s too soon to tell how that will work.
I have been using makari for 2 years. Initially my face had bumps & little red patches and i was not impressed. I was sensitive to the product. I decided to seriously cut down on its use and still benefit from the results. I now wash my face with the whitening soap daily. The serum I put before my normal day cream daily and 2 times a week I replace my normal night cream with Makari night cream. Makari night cream is a bit thick and oily so I dont use daily.
I think the night cream all the time plus the day cream under my makeup was too much for my sensitive combination skin type. All is fine now. Never tried the caviar products as it is pricey. I dunno if maybe other people are overkill on all the products causing breakout like me in the beginning? I have an even complexion now and most of my childhood chicken pox scars are gone.
I am very moderate with the use of the product and only use to sort the uneven patches/scars on my face and neck. I plan to go down to just serum daily for maintenance oncee my last pox scars go:-) At any rate I couldnt afford to use it more as the product is very expensive. In a nutshell, this stuff works but maybe too much product for ones skin type causes the breakout.
My sister used makari skin beautifying milk, it gave a nice shiny complexion for a while, then the breakout came and left large spots and patches developed too, after a year her skin is yet to get over it, i tried the caviar face cream it didnt work for me, most of these creams with all these herbs like mulberry, licorice esp licorice causes breakouts and they make ur skin sensitive to the sun, infact from experience i know they make u darker.
i really loved Makari products ,l’ve been using for the past 14 months,but l discovered lately that l’m growing hair everywhere on my face,so l decide to change to another product.
O my gosh.l look darker that everybody is asking me what is happening,so it is either l use even tone skin or l will start shaving every part of my face.so l chose to drop this untested and undocumented product that is destroying people skin .

because it gave me Horrible stretch marks all over my body ! i really mean all over my body neck , feet , hands . These are very odd places in the body to develop strech marks. I went to see a dermatologist who told me that makari contains heavy steroids . People please do not use any makari product
I UED MAKARI AND IT WORKED WITH FIRST BODY BEAUTIFYING MILK, CAVIAR FACE LIGHTENING CREAM AND CLARIFYING ANTSEPTIC SOAP AND IT WORKED FOR A WHILE AND WHEN I STOP USING IT DUE TO THE FACE BURN DURING THE SUMMER, I NOTICED A CHANGE. I’M STILL YET TO RECOVER FROM THE USE OF THE PRODUCTS. RIGHT NOW I JUST USE BABY PRODUCTS. ALSO I STARTED HAVING STRECTH MARK AFTER THE USE OF MAKARI AND WORST OF ALL ON MY STOMACH AS WELL.

I stopped using Makari and let my skin heal naturally. Washing with only water only and applying aloe vera gel.
It took me months to get rid of the pimples. Nowadays i use tea-tree oil. I have terrible acne scars, and my skin is very uneven.
I regret ever using makari. This product is poisonous and should be banned!
Hi everyone, i have never used makari but i have a lot of friends who use it,im a certified cosmetologist,i understand a lot of people’s complain about this product but i feel alot of this is lack of knowledge concerning such products like this.abuse of this product would result in such complains.if you use this product and you are constantly in the sun you wont love the end result,its always advisable to buy the line of product i.e cleanser,face wash,moisturizer etc
my advice is that try and protect your skin from the sun.also trying to achieve two shades above your color is alot and you cant expect to stop and go back to your natural color,what you should do is after achieving the result from the first purchase,slow down on it i.e initial usage was 2times a day,reduce it once a day,then 3times a week to maintain.

Several members of my family and I have used the Caviar and day creams. I have to admit that the results are spectacular at first but as soon as you stop using the product, your skin tone dramatically changes. I wouldn’t ever waste my money on this! Its just not worth it in the long run!
I’ve had great results with the makari products. My favorite makari products are the day cream and beautifying milk. The products are made from natural ingredients and worked well for a lot of people as well.
The only thing we all av in common is that Makari worked in d first place and stopped working afterwards and also left us with breakouts. I am also a victim. Can someone @ leasr profer a solution, we all can’t be crying over spilled milk.
I started using makari back in 2008 and it was working great for me. My skin got so lighter and my dark spots and pimples were gone. Starting in summer 2009 I start noticing lots of patches on the side of my face which would go come and go so I did not stop using the product. I loved the fair complexion of my skin so much that it felt it was ok for me to have a few pimples. Starting of this year 2010 I realize that my skin was getting worst and worst so I decided to stop last month. My face got so darker no matter what i use. It has been 3 weeks now that I am using a different product but with no success. I have decided to go back with Macari and buy the whole line to see if my face will get back to its complexion as I am getting married in two months. I really hope it works cuz I don’t know what else to do.

Hi everyone ,there is no lightening product that can lighten anyone perminent even cosmetic surgery do needs some mentainance. How do you expect your skin to stay the same after stopping a products /, . I think Makari is a good product ,it just depends on how you use it . I think no product will ever lighten anyone perminently . you just need at least 3times aweek aplication once you attain your desired shade and continue using it if it suits your skin . Let me know if there is any product out there that can cause perminent lightening .

makari worked for me for 3 months until i got a horrible rash on my face and then it turned into severe acne. I will not recommend makari to anyone. Be careful with it.
I went to the dermatologist and was given a birth control pill that helps with acne and It took three months to go away.
Now i am left with black marks all over my face.
I have used makari fo 5 years and the main problem has been fakes in the shops unscrupulous shops like the well known one in finsbury park and all over london are selling fakes they have no scruples
The first Makari bottle did not work for me so I used fair and white products for about a month. After that I went back to purchase the entire line of Makari products particular to my skin problems and it worked. I use only makari now and I hardly need makeup. So those who have issues with the product may have to spend the money to get the results. I use the sunscreen they sell and my colour stays nice. The sunscreen even tones my skin. Their glycerin darkens me if I leave it on but when I wash it after two hours my skin is nice. I could go on and on…..I suggest everyone try out the entire line to find out what works for them. There is deffinately a cream for each need
I think Makari is some kind of poison. Honestly, one can bring an action against the company that produces it. Over two years since i stopped using it; my face is yet to recover. It did work at first and then it started to destroy my skin. thinking it was adultrated, i looked for reputable dealers to buy makari from and still my face kept getting worse. till today, my face dries up like mad, peals continuously irrespective of the weather, is several shades darker no matter the lightening cream i use to restore my initial complexion. lightening creams that used to work for me no longer do after i used makari. even when i dont use lightening creams my face keeps getting worse.
SO BEWARE; IF YOU USE MAKARI, YOUR SKIN WIL BE DESTROYED AND IT MAY NEVER RECOVER!!
